About USGBC-NCR

The USGBC-National Capital Region Chapter (USGBC-NCR) is an independently chartered chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the foremost green building organization in the country.

USGBC-NCR provides locally-based leadership, advocacy, education and resources to create a vibrant and environmentally healthy Metropolitan Washington region. With individual members from every sector of the building industry, we engage, educate and encourage our community to live within and advance a sustainable, ecologically restorative and economically prosperous built environment.

USGBC-NCR is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization serving the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, which includes:

  • The District of Columbia
  • Montgomery and Prince Georges Counties in Maryland
  • Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, Loudoun, Clarke, Frederick, Shenandoah, Page, Warren, Rappahannock, Fauquier, Culpeper and Stafford counties in the Commonwealth of Virginia
